This is a well-researched podcast; I learned a lot. It's clear that Richard knows exactly what he's talking about, and he tells the stories well. Recommended for history buffs and budding history buffs.

Good story telling ability. Episode on George Washington - only one out so far- added a depth to a historical figure we tend to view more as a stoic statue (or even figureless monument) than as a flesh and blood human being. Looking forward to listening to more.

Every American should listen to this podcast, history teachers across the country should listen to this or maybe just play this for a school lesson. It's better than any history class I ever took in high school or college. Richard really brings George Washington to life with great story telling and fun stories. Can't wait for more!

As someone who enjoys detailed accounts in history, I really dig this podcast so far! It personalised aspects of George Washington that many often gloss over and used interesting examples to highlight his struggles and leadership! Hope the tie-in to film will continue and would add that perhaps a connection to current affairs would make it not only educational but especially topical!

I so enjoyed listening to this podcast for a number of reasons. The content, while familiar, was presented in a fresh way that made it relatable and struck emotional cords not generally associated with something I was forced to study in high school and college. While some of the general names and details were familiar, I was surprised to learn new facts and information about a topic I thought I knew well.Richard is an excellent narrator and his style made this an excellent find. The production value (Something I am a stickler for) was fantastic. I look forward to hearing the entire series.

This has become my new favorite, must listen to Podcast. The reader has a fantastic ability both as a storyteller and historian to bring alive the crucial moments of American history, and make us understand why the matter.

Some say you don't know where you're going until you know were you've been. This is a timely podcast to help codify America's sense of identity during these polarized times.

As soon as it started, even before the classy intro music, I was drawn in by the voice of the narrator ... it was as if I was listening to a PBS documentary by some seasoned History professor type. But what made it really stand out was the fact that it was told in such a casual and informal, non-chalant manner. Like you were sitting in front of a cozy fireplace in the dead of winter, being charmed by someone who was empassioned to tell the story of George Washington, but from an entirely different perspective. Simply brilliant!

What a great podcast! The narrator's clear passion for the subject matter and depth of knowledge is fastastic. A truly fascinating and inspiring account of our history's great leaders. I feel so much more in touch with our nation's past.

The narrator does a really good job putting you in the shoes of someone living during the time period. I learned new things about Washington, especially his early years (stuff I didn't learn in history class). It's a well written and researched podcast and I enjoyed listening to it. I hope the next episode is just as good!
